You know that there has to of been a book before it but you can start to read no problem. What I am trying to say is as you start to read the book (any in the series) you are brought up to date as you read. A British male enjoys nothing more then finding something to moan about! What I like is that the book always starts at the beginning but doesn't always finish at the end. It also means that I can sit there and complain that this films not as good as the book. The problem being I found that I was soon reading them and found them enjoyable. I like to believe that is how I ended up getting it. The good thing about being a family man you can always buy things "just for the children". To be honest I had seen the book just after all the hype of the first film.
